Join Us for BC’s First Walk & Roll Accessibility Parade

At Alliance Mobility Solutions, everything we do is centered around one goal: helping people move freely and live without barriers.

That’s why we’re excited to share an incredible new event happening right here in our community — the BC Walk & Roll Accessibility Parade, hosted by the Equal Access Collective.

This is the first event of its kind in British Columbia, and it’s all about bringing people together to celebrate accessibility, inclusion, and what a truly barrier-free future can look like.

Why This Matters

Accessibility isn’t a niche issue — it impacts all of us.

More than 1 in 4 Canadians live with a disability, including over 900,000 people in British Columbia. Whether it’s mobility, accessibility in public spaces, or inclusive design, these are things that shape how people experience their everyday lives.

Events like this aren’t just celebrations — they’re a reminder of how much progress we’ve made, and how much more we can do.

What Is the Walk & Roll Parade?

This is not your typical parade.

The Walk & Roll Accessibility Parade is designed to be fully inclusive, with participants encouraged to take part using:

  • Mobility aids
  • Wheelchairs and scooters
  • Non-motorized cycles
  • Walking participants

🚫 No cars or motorized floats — this keeps the focus on accessibility and human movement.

The parade will begin outside Holland Park and make its way to Surrey City Hall Plaza, where a community festival will follow featuring:

  • Guest speakers
  • Performances
  • Accessibility organizations
  • Family-friendly activities
